Whose house is it? The Coogs! It's the chant that will be heard from every corner of the city leading into the weekend. While burnt orange and maroon have taken a backseat this year to the emerging sea of red, Cougar fever has swept across the city.

University of Houston's football team, with a 12-0 record, prepares for its Conference USA championship appearance against Southern Mississippi this Saturday. With an undefeated season under their belt, tomorrow's game is the hottest ticket in town.

If you weren't one of the lucky fans to purchase a ticket to the game at Robertson Stadium, you're left with one of two options. You can either stay home or go to one of the many Houston bars that are offering the next best seats in the house.

Sport your University of Houston gear and make your way to watch the game with other UH fans at your local watering hole. With food and brews that rival the prices found at the stadium, you can cheer on the Coogs and have enough left over to celebrate the team's accomplishment all weekend long.

University of Houston's on-campus bar, The Den Bar Campus Pub, should be high on your list of places to watch the game. The bar will be pulling out on the stops in support of the Coogs by opening early at 7 a.m. to get the celebration going. Join them for complimentary breakfast tacos (while they last) and $3 wells, Southern Comfort Lime, Kamakazi, and Amaretto Sours. Look for complimentary cocktails or samples as one of the spirits offered at the bar, will promote its brand during the game. Like beer with your football viewing? There will be specials on select beers during the game or choose from one of the 18 craft beers on taps.

Photo courtesy of Baker St. Pub & GrillYou wouldn't think the British-themed Baker St. Pub & Grill and Watson’s House of Ales would be Coogs central, but come Saturday, it will be. The pubs are owned by University of Houston alums, Larry Martin and Edgar Carlson, and they're putting their UH pride where their mouths are... literally, and so can you.

Order any one of the six burgers offered on the menu, and the burger will be served with a branded University of Houston logo. Most of the burger are under $8 and are accompanied by fries. Appetizers that include wings, quesadillas, potato skins, and more will be $5 until 6 p.m. For even more school spirit, order the Cougar Red Beer that will be available until 2 a.m.

Doors open at 10 a.m. at Watson’s House of Ales and the following Baker St. Pub & Grill locations: Rice Village, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Willowbrook, and Katy.

Brian O'Neill's is supporting the Coogs with a Cougar mimosa. Instead of orange juice, the Irish pub will prepare the special mimosa in honor of today's game with cranberry juice. Mimosas are 50¢ during the game. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
