Between the cold snap and the holidays, there's a greater need for blankets, coats, and food donations in December.

Barely making ends meet, there are families struggling to put meals on the table. The picture perfect holiday of a present-filled room often portrayed on the small and big screens, isn't so for the children of those families. Buying toys takes a back seat to a much higher priority, food.

No one should go through these situations, especially children during the holidays. Organizations all over are making efforts to make this year's holiday season a happy one for children, and so are Houston area restaurants.

Several of your favorite Houston eateries are joining the cause and are asking for your help. Share your giving spirit by donating an unwrapped toy. Receive the gift of knowing you did a good deed and a tasty treat.
