It's been said that charity begins at home, and that home is where the heart is. For those that enjoy and appreciate craft beers, the love of beer is very close to their hearts.

With the season of giving here, organizations are including local breweries and local's favorite artisanal beers to raise funds for good causes. You say you don't have an expensive gown or tuxedo in your closet for the occasion? Not to worry because the type of fundraisers planned for this week don't require a formal dress code.

Prepare to donate, drink lots of beer, and enjoy tasty bites. Donate in a big way for under $30 while supporting two Houston organizations making the city an even greater place to live.

Save a tree and drink a beer is the concept of Whole Foods Market's upcoming fundraiser, Beer for Bark. Make a donation to attend the fundraiser, and enjoy complimentary craft beers and food while listening to the sounds of groovy tunes. 100% of the evening's proceeds will benefit Trees For Houston, an non-profit organization whose mission is to plant trees and preserve the woodlands of Houston.
