Veterans Day is here and it's not just about breaking out the red, white, and blues. It's a day dedicated to recognize the men and women who have served in the various branches of the military. They have defended and fought for the freedom and protection of the United States of America, so it's only right that there's a day of observance to honor their bravery and to say thanks.
Parades and many services will be held throughout the country as a couple of ways of expressing and showing our appreciation to those retired service men and women, but why not take it one step further?
This year, treat a veteran to a meal in their honor. Restaurants throughout the Greater Houston area are thanking military service men and women of the past and present with a special treat just for them on November 11th and throughout the weekend.
