If patience is a virtue, the frozen yogurt lovers in the Greater Houston area must be the most virtuous people of them all.

Although the city has its fair share of frozen yogurt favorites that include local Berripop and Fruituzy, and Texas based Red Mango, we've waited patiently for a taste of a Los Angeles cool treat to make its way to the Bayou City.

Good things come to those that wait... really good and yummy things.

After months of buzz on Twitter and other other online outlets, the arrival of the first Pinkberry in the Greater Houston area has come. The chain is opening its first location in Webster. Good news for those in Webster, Friendswood, and Clear Lake, a little disappointing for the rest of us further down Interstate 45 in Houston. It's not all bad news as this location is the first of many. Look for locations in the Galleria area and The Woodlands to open soon.

In the meantime, show a lot of southern hospitality to Pinkberry by joining them Thursday, September 29th, for the grand opening at Baybrook Passage Center in Webster. The froyo chain is throwing a party and you're invited. Pinkberry will handle the celebratory yogurt, while a DJ will be spinning tunes. All that's needed for this long awaited event is you. Join in the festivities beginning at 5 p.m. and receive complimentary swirls of frozen yogurt until 9 p.m.
