Tuesday, October 18:

You're invited to Reserve 101's Tasting Tuesday, a complimentary class and tasting featuring spirits, mainly whiskeys, and the occasional tequila, rum, and craft beer. This week, the Downtown bar will launch the first in a series of classic single malt Scotch tastings. Learn about Glenkinchie, Singleton, Oban and Lagavulin while tasting each. Space is limited. This won't-want-to-miss evening will display every component of Chivas Regal 18 that when blended together makes for a smooth whiskey. The tasting is free but RSVP is required. The tasting will begin promptly at 7 p.m.

Thursday, October 20:

Think you know all there is to know about craft beers? The Pint Jockeys of Del Papa Distribution will show there's always more to learn has they host their monthly beer tasting. Beer lovers over the age of 21 are invited to join them and taste new brews from the distributor, including Saint Arnold Pumpkinator and the Saint Arnold Santo which will be released to stores on the same day.

Whole Foods Market Montrose has a passport waiting on you and a taste of Spain without the frequent flyer miles. Fly into the new Whole Foods Market location for the Passport to Wine and Cheese class and tasting. This free class will focus on wines and cheeses from different regions of the country. Class is in session at Moon U. The wine 101 class is a series being offered at Crescent Moon Wine Bar. Learn the basics of wines, the flavor profiles, history, and more. This month is all about desserts. While there will be deletable sweets on hand, they will be paired with various sparking wines and ports. Attendees will learn about which wines pair best with different desserts and more during this two hour class. Space is limited. Call to make reservations.

Chivas 1801 Club (5050 Westheimer): Experience Chivas' pop-up bar and its whiskeys during it's limited run in Houston. Explore the stylish digs and take part in their free Chivas 18 Regal tasting that starts promptly at 7 p.m. RSVP is required


Friday, October 28:

Spec's Superstore in Midtown (2410 Smith)Taste wines from the Schug Carneros Estate Winery during Spec's virtual wine tasting. Guest will be guided through a live tasting via a live webstream with the vintners of the California winery. The tasting will include cheeses for pairing. Space is limited for this free class. Jitterbug Cafe (15201 Mason Road) is offering a complimentary coffee cupping class where attendees can taste various dark coffee roasts and blends. September's class will focus on brewing methods for coffee. Tasting begins at 7 p.m. Space is limited. RSVP required.
